Exactly!

If you sacrifice your spirit,

you sacrifice yourself.

2 years later, in a small effort to restore his karmic balance, Michelangelo painted a beautiful mural that many critics said was self-portrait. The portrait seems to represent the prophet named “Hieremias” because of the title of the slab. In most other depictions of the prophet, ‘Hieremias,’ he is depicted as very-light-skinned man but in this iconic depiction he is depicted as a weeping darker-skinned man. This man’s facial expression is being copied by the blonde-haired man behind him who has the attention of the other man in the scene.
